Pascal was still a young and innocent boy when he escaped losing his dear life through astonishing survival and hustling in devastating insecurity and poverty, after losing everything he ever had as family structure in the brutal war that ravaged his place of birth, Bukavu town, in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, forcing him to run to a neighboring Country Uganda, where he was forced to become refugee and there he struggled in a filthy refugee camp for more than a decade. Later-on he luckily managed to come to America after a long wait, gracefully through the the International Refugee program sponsored by the United Nation. After surviving the worst tragedy of his lifetime, he was indeed awarded his second shot at life in Boise Idaho where he now calls home, and after 5 strong years of being vetted as a clean individual he just got his US Citizenship in June 2022.
Despite growing as orphan through all the sufferings and the loss of his very close family members in the war, all his childhood memories and his whole integrity, Pascal still kept his optimism and did not lose the hope, he never stopped believing in the possible bright future, he never allowed his brain to become victimized by his hopeless and very limited life or his overwhelming anxiety and depression, he instead developed courage and determination in creating and realizing avenues for other children and young adults in that situation to thrive and survive. And after putting up an inner survival fight for years, he later managed to create the Ruda Foundation, a local Non Profit Organization based in Boise in honor of his late Father that he lost at a very young age, this is in order to help other troubled young adults with different hurdles of life to view their difficulties and sufferings from a different perspective, and gain more confidence and determination to pursue greatness in order to become important members of our Society in the future.
With the zeal of and vision of building strong mindsets in our young adults at risk of Mental Health breakdown, Pascal decided to abide by the law of Idaho and did a training course to be Certified as a Peer Support Specialist and licensed in the entire State of Idaho, in order to conduct meaningful and sincere sensitization about the greatest challenges that every family is facing with growing young adults and adults in general, here in our town of Boise, in our State of Idaho and across the entire Country.
Ruda Foundation is committed to creating a strong mental, emotional, social, and physical safety, starting in Boise Idaho. We shall strive to build a strong mindset in our teens, with ability to face adversities and developmental challenges to thrive. We shall welcome refugee teens and other teens of all backgrounds, denomination or affiliation, gender, race, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, including those with a range of intellectual, emotional, and physical depression.
Our Organization is implementing its vision of impacting the lives of tens of thousands of teens in different communities by establishing and normalizing responses to teens at risk, ensuring and providing a safe and secure environment for all teens enrolled into our programs. In order to do so, Ruda Foundation shall implement detailed policies that are intended to keep teens within special our practices and engage them mentally, emotionally and physically. These protection policies shall extend beyond the time a teen spends in our designed programs. When there is concern of a teen being at risk whether through suspicion of abuse, a mental health concern, suicidal ideation, or something else our team shall be able act responsibility.
It is our mandate that Ruda Foundation personnel make the safety of the teens in their care paramount and respond to possible risk in accordance with local laws and the policies set forth. Additionally, we continuously work to adapt and develop resources, guidelines, and procedures that foster and maintain safety, healthy, and inclusive environments for the teens and young adults in our care.
Ruda Foundation shall always impact the lives of young people in a special and profound way. We seek to help teens formulate a sense of identity and shape the people they will become tomorrow. We intend to create a welcoming and inclusive environment wherein young people feel safe to share their dreams, emotions, and feelings, making these places ripe for promoting adolescent wellness and information, especially for the new comers like refugee teens.
To accomplish these goals, teens need spaces that are mentally, emotionally, and physically safe. Ruda Foundation seeks to identify and provide best practices in adolescent health and wellness, creating places and environments in where adolescents can thrive and mature.
In the events of catching attention and uplifting the young lives at risk, we are engaged in creating messages that speak louder than just words, in form of music, comedy and creativity through projects like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ki5oZecqOQ
